365, Day 9: A Far Distant Shore

365, Day 9

This was pure play. And I’m not sure, in the end, exactly what I’ve painted. Is this a seashore, rocky and a bit rough, at sunrise? Sunset? A lake shore? I’ve never painted anything like this before and the tiny format, a 1″ diameter circle, and the tight time frame of my practice, an hour or under (most of the pieces have taken far less), is very freeing.
