365, Day 80: Landscapes of the Imagination

365, Day 80

As I watched this painting materialize (with nothing like the swift, crystal clear energy of the last couple of days’ paintings) it occurred to me again that imagination is crucial to the creative process. That’s true whether one is creating a painting or whether one is creating a new life. And so, when I hear people saying, “I’m not creative,” I wonder whether what I’m really hearing is, “I’m not imaginative”.
