365, Day 86: En Garde

365, Day 86

As I began to work on this painting I saw threatening storm clouds. The finished product makes me think of clouds hiding the moon which shines behind them and down on the sleeping landscape below. There is a bit of rain, yes, and there may be some thunder here. But, as I sit with the painting, there is only the echoed memory of a perceived threat. There is no real reason to be en garde
