365, Day 93: Sky on Fire

365, Day 93

I drove across the Illinois countryside last night at sunset with a friend watching the fire in the sky highlight evening storm clouds and spill out across the corn and soybean fields around us. It was a spectacular sunset which I could only enjoy around the edges as I was driving. Today, as I began to paint, the fire in the sky appeared but the corn and soybean fields were replaced by (of course) “my” trees and birds.

I don’t know why. I’m just gonna run with it.
