365, Day 189: Showing Up


Some days, I just go through the motions. Draw the circle, pick up the paint brush. Let it find the water and a pigment…there is often absolutely no idea in my head of what I’m going to do even as I do it. And I just figure that’s going to have to be ok.

Viewed in a timeline sort of way, it’s interesting to see the flow of images and compositions. They expand, they contract. Some are really blue. A lot are really blue…and a lot seem to be about trees.

No birds in this image, either. I remember this one. No birds. Nope. They just didn’t have it in them to show up. Some days are like that, too.
